October.

We shingled our home this fall, which was a bit overdue.
It was considered to be our last project!
When it was all done, there was a nice feeling of relief.
It's time to sit back in our new rockers on the front patio & enjoy life.
That also means, it's time to stop spending & start saving on a bigger scale.
What a great place to be.
(Thanks to our friend Rob & my dad for helping with the roof
& for grandma for watching the kids so I could help on the roof too.)
We also felt it was time to convert Viv from her crib to a big bed.
It was a heck of a change for us knowing that the crib has been up for basically
the last 9 years!
And in an instant, it will be put away forever.
WOW.
That time has finally come & it's definitely bittersweet for me.
(Vance was happy for her!)
Hanging out in the front yard once grandma & grandpa got home
from taking the 2 older boys to a rock event in the cities.
Adler came home with a early birthday gift (a shooting rocket).
To our surprise, that cheap thing really shot out its rockets.
Having fun at football practice.
Watching Brock run through the finish line at his fun run at school.
Daddy's girl.
Those little buns in those undies are so cute!
We decided that because Viv's room is so small
Luke had to make her headboard so it would not cover up her window
& be tall & whimsy.
He nailed it, it's exactly what I envisioned!
A little hulabaloo action in the living room.
Playing on the road with the Geers family,
showing off the crazy rocket shooter.

The 3 boys just love each others company, no matter what they're doing.
Vance started swimming lessons now that he is in preschool.
It took him a couple sessions to warm up to the fact that
he needed to get in the pool without me & with other kids & a teacher who
will be telling him what to do!
I found out that it really helps Vance is Viv is by the pool watching him.
He likes to show her what he's doing & she loves being by him too.
Getting ready for a big night of trick-or-treating downtown.
This year we ended up with Star Wars, G.I Joe, a warrior, & ladybug.
The next day Vance put his water bottle from trick-or-treating to good use.
He spot treated his 4-wheeler!
Viv with her new winter hat made by Becky to match her coat.
Time to carve pumpkins.
While we were still trying to find a good base for Viv's bed,
we converted her crib to a toddler bed & added a canopy.
The set-up was so cute.
Too bad it only lasted a few weeks before her big bed was ready!
We took the older boys to Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory at Paramount.
We went out to eat with Joe, Erin & Gabe & they also went to the play too.
Adler & Brock's family birthday party
Adler turned 9.
Brock turned 7.
And we had fun!
Opening up their rock tumbler from grandma & grandpa!
What a special gift.
They were very excited to start tumbling their Lake Superior rocks.
Trick-or-treating!
