Little hands.

Brock can officially
go to the bathroom himself!
I still would not trust a boy to hold 'it' down
to where they don't make a mess of the bathroom,
but he sure has the hang of it.
He recently started to turn the water on & off himself too.

Here's what I caught him doing the other day...
He's so proud of himself!
He can even stick his mouth and head/hair under the water
(and proceed to make a BIG wet mess.)

Private boy talk...
Adler: "dad my penis is getting bigger."
Luke: "well you're growing aren't you"
Adler: "yeah!"

Brock: "I went to the bathroom all by myself"
Luke: "good job."
Brock: "yeah I even held my penis down!"
Luke: "good job."

Apparently the 'penis' talk around our house was in full force yesterday!
HAHAHA Luke wouldn't think anything of private personal stuff during work
but when it comes to his boys I think he gets taken off guard when he's confronted
with this kind of talk and it's just SO funny.
Now we just pray Adler doesn't talk like this at preschool!

Levi James Geers.

Mike & Em had their baby late last week.
So while we were home for Easter Luke & I got to spend some time
meeting the new little man.
Levi James.
Now I can't wait for our little guy to get here!
Hopefully there's less than 2 months to go.

Easter.

We attended the annual Big Lake easter egg hunt at the park.
As usual, it is not the best hunt.
It is always freezing & the eggs are always filled with hard brachs candies.
Candy that the boys would not be able to eat for 10 years.
FYI...we will NOT be attending this event ever again in the future.
But Luke did hear from one of his patient's that Becker's egg hunt
was wonderful & that they had actual good chocolate candy.
At least we now know of another town to go to so the boys
don't completely lose their egg hunt experience
of being trampled by other kids (& parents!).
We're hoping for a better hunt next year.
Brock helped me fill the eggs this year.
I think he ate more candy then what he helped put
in the eggs!  Ohhh well.
The morning before Easter the boys got to search for their baskets
& have a mini egg hunt at home before taking off for the grandparents' houses.
The Easter bunny put slippers, playdough, guns, & tons of candy
in their baskets.
Brock ate SO much chocolate before breakfast that
he couldn't eat anymore!
Grandpa Wayne filled all the Easter eggs with money.
So after the hunt Gabe ran inside & told us that he can now buy
a 4-wheeler!!! haha
They sure had fun.
(After the basket hunt at the Herdina's,
Brock told them, "there's no money!" haha)
A big highlight of visiting G & G Johnson is that grandma
always gives them a ride on the ranger.
They talk about it the whole time & even though it was freezing
& the wind was blowing like crazy, Brock informed grandma that he
needed a ranger ride & followed her
around the house until she gave them a ride!
Easter Sunday we went to the Herdina's
& they got a basket full of goodies!
Brock can't resist diving right into the chocolate...AGAIN!!!
Luke spending time with sweet little Amelia.
What a wonderful Easter!
Adler was explaining to Brock how Jesus died on the cross
because mean people put him up there & then he rose way up in heaven.
Oh the things he says...and it's so sweet.

Dessert!

I forgot to mention that Luke got me the BEST
birthday gift.
My favorite pie from the most delicious little cafe in town.
We ate the whole thing in a couple days!
Whether pregnant or not,
I tend to make a couple desserts a week.
And being pregnant....how could you EVER resist
a whole big bowl of monster cookie dough!
Needless to say I scooped myself a large cup full
& it was worth every bite (then maybe I filled another cup full too!)

Patio project.

There are only a couple projects that Luke has planned
to complete before the baby arrives.
1: install our new front door.
2: complete our patio.
Then he's going to relax for the summer
& take the time to really enjoy the baby.
Because poor Brock didn't get much daddy time
when he was little because there were so many house projects to do.
It should be a great summer to sit back & watch the boys have fun!

The patio project is now in full swing.
It all started when Grandpa Wayne delivered all the patio pavers
& unloaded them with the bobcat.
Brock rode in the bobcat all afternoon.
He even fell asleep with his face smooshed up to the glass door!
The delivery of sand!  The last thing we needed before the real work begins.
The boys have been a great help shoveling sand & hauling it
to the back yard with their dump trucks.
Our soon-to-be back patio.
It's been a dirt hole since last summer...
but it's also made a great play area for the boys
& their back hoes, dump trucks, excavators & shovels!
By the end of this week it should be finished.
We can't wait!
