Fair & Friends.

We recently went to the Meeker County Fair
& had ourselves a good ol' time!
We even got to get rid of the kids
& spend some time with the Geers family!

Adler had tons of fun on the rides,
especially the BIG rides!

Luke's holding on for dear life! haha

Luke going down the slide with Brock.
Adler had to go by himself of course.

Then I took a turn on the scrambler with Adler!
Ohhhh it was a long ride.
I think I got a little sick!

I also got to spend time with some girlfriends & all their kids!

Lil' Eddie!  So sweet.

Don't ask me what happened to this picture,
but all I needed was their faces! hahaha
Ohhh SO funny!!!!

The end!
hahaha I'm still laughing at that picture!!!!

Our yard.

I feel like we have been working on our yard all summer.
And we have!

I'm SO sick of dirt EVERYWHERE!
In our ears,
in our nose,
on our clothes,
all over in our house,
and yes, even in our underwear!
It reminds me of baling hay growing up and
finding dirt in any, every crevice! haha

Here's some more dirt that has to go on top of our sandy yard
before the sod can be laid down.

A little bobcat work to move & level out the dirt.

The boys sure loved the dirt.
I think I changed their clothes 2-3 times each day
& every time they came in we had to scrub our feet, hands & face!
Ohh I'm so glad that's over with.

Luke & I looked at our yard when the dirt was spread out
& thought Oh Crap, this is going to be a lot of sod.
And it was!

Here comes the sod!
The best day of summer by far!

The 'after' pictures of our finished product.
p.s. I even stained our swingset!  She looks like new!

This pictures also shows the finished retaining wall
& part of our patio.

Look at all that pretty grass!

A view from below.
Now we just need a sunroom so we can get rid of that dingy deck!
That might be a few years away though.

This is a messy picture, but with all the watering that has been taking place
everything needs to take cover!
We LOVE our patio outside our walkout basement.

Our next project...
More pavers & sod for another sitting/deck area!

Since the weather has been so nice an cool this week
it was time to finish the garage.
A day ago I loaded up the boys and we headed to Home Depot.
(little to dad's knowledge!)
I was on a mission to get insulation for the garage
& get that done too!

The boys decided to set up shop to watch dad work!

We got the insulation done in a couple hours
& it was right onto sheetrocking!
I think we're going to kill our little bat friend by closing him up there!
I hope he flies down & scares the crap out of Luke.
I can't wait!

Hopefully by Saturday night we'll have a finished garage
& we'll be nice & warm this winter!

Brothers.

They have been such a good brother to each other.
Adler even asks Brock, "Brockie, am I a good big brother?"
Then Brock responds with, "Yah!"
Ohhh they're sweet.

A little sprinkler fun
(since they've been on all the time to water our new sod!)

We let Brock be a 'big boy' now.
He earned his way.
He'll be 2 in a couple months!

He can now:
go to bed the same time as his older brother,
hop in mom & dad's bed to watch a movie at night,
eat apples & cereal for bedtime snack just like Adler,
& read books in the top bunk before bed.

Ohhh he's so happy with all the new changes.
He thinks he's so old now.
I think we officially lost our little baby.
Now onto sleeping on the bottom bunk
& keeping each other up all night giggling!

Brushing their teeth with their new Cars spin brushes.
BEST invention EVER for kids.
This thing does the brushing for them!

Last night sleeping on the bottom bunk.
He was so excited to move up top
so his little brother can sleep with him.
(but that step has not happened quite yet).

Having some fun at the splash deck at the "Y"!

I've got the cool kids....clearly!!!
Just look at them in their shades.

Ohhh brothers are the best!
As Brock would say, "Yah!"
