Snow.

Luke always calls before leaving work to see if
we need anything.
And last night....the boys & I definitely needed Dairy Queen soft serve!
and I told him it would be great with some rasberries too.
So the poor guy had to make 2 stops.
He's so wonderful.
He made us supper & scooped us up some ice cream.
The boys had vanilla waffle cones.

And I had a rasberry waffle cone sundae.
It was for the baby.
And the baby liked it! haha

This morning we looked out the window
& there was actually SNOW.
We couldn't believe it.
So everyone got on their snow gear
& we headed outside for the morning
(after Luke realized he could not get to work).
They made 'Frosty' & were so excited
that they told me they couldn't wait til next Christmas!
Hahaha

Then the snowplow finally drove by
& we quickly realized his snow day
turned back into a work day!
So the boys & I headed downstairs
& I got busy with some sewing.
I found some of the cutest fabric lately!
It was a dish towel & burp cloth kind of morning.

Friends.

This past weekend we had a couple college friends
over for supper.
AND we are all pregnant.
Sadly I have the farthest to go before baby arrives,
but I can't beat them at 37 weeks & 39 weeks!
I feel like I looked the same belly wise as them
& I have 14 weeks to go!
(I wish I would have got a belly shot of all of us
and I don't think we'll see each other before all these babies arrive.)
Adella hanging out with Luke & Brock.
Ohhh Ms. Personality!  Too cute.

Baby Shower

No, not for me...for my best friend
who's 10 weeks ahead of me in her pregnancy.
We had a nice little 'friend baby shower'
to have a chance to sit & chat with Em
& give her some gifts for her baby boy
before he arrives.
There was good company and LOTS to eat.
It was great.
I think I ate all afternoon!

The sweet little babies that got to come to the shower.
There sure is a baby boom amongst us friends right now!
This summer should be pretty busy with playdates!
The mom-to-be opening up gifts.
(You can't even tell she's pregnant & that baby is coming in 2 months!)

I can't wait until he's here
& we can snuggle on him.
You'll be a wonderful mother
& the time will be here soon!

Fun with Friends.

Recently Adler was invited to a friend's birthday party.
It's pretty funny we've now hit the stage of Adler being invited places
to have fun with his friends.
Our whole family was invited to come
since we all wanted to get to know each other a little better
so it was a great time to get out & meet some new people in town
with kids the same ages as ours (which is always a plus!).

There are 2 other moms at preschool that I tend to chat with
& they have 3 boys each too,
so when I told them I was having another boy
we all had to chuckle knowing we're all going to have a crazy 'man' house in a few years!
Unless we all decide to have baby #4 and possibly get lucky with girls?!

Knowing there will be tons of boys to burn off energy
the party was held at Air Max & we all had SO much fun.
Imagine a VERY large warehouse filled with massive trampolines.
A boys dream come true!
Luke got to play jump-slam-dunk b-ball with the other husbands
& the moms got to chat.

After lots of jumping there were gifts, pizza, cake, & party favors.
(Brock sat with all the boys as if he were 4 years old too!
Ohhh he's funny.)

The best party bag favor were the sunglasses.
They wore them the rest of the day & night!
(Brock of course always wore his upside down.)

This is how we found Adler sleeping that night!
I'm sure we'll have many more get-togethers with
our 'new' kid friends & adult friends in town.

A new living room.

We decided we've been looking at the same
darn living room 'stuff' for long enough.
So we ordered a new sectional,
bought a totally groovy orange chair,
wrote up plans for a carpenter to make us a one-of-a-kind
entertainment center & to refurbish our existing end table,
bought new curtains & wall decor,
new lamps from Christmas
& there you have it...
a completely new living room
(once it all gets here that is!).
Until then we're living in, well the worst living room of
mixed match furniture!
I can't wait to show you the final product.
Until then, here's a sneak peak of the chair I'm in LOVE with.
p.s. this is the one & only time Olivia got to sit on this chair
(without it being covered).
But isn't she cute!

Underwear & smoothies.

Well the title says it all.

Here's the underwear...

And here's the smoothies, complete with a twisty straw.
(out of the blue Adler asked for a smoothie,
so why not...we made smoothies & they loved them).

Valentine's.

Love Day was so nice.
I got flowers from my sweetheart
& a homemade card.
I also got a homemade card from Adler
& lots of "I love you's" from the boys.

The boys & I made dad homemade cards
to open when he got home from work.
We also took a trip to Home Depot
to pick him up sawhorses that he's wanted for a long time!
(apparently our uneven homemade ones are not
desirable anymore!).
I also made some cupcakes for the boys & a cake just for my love.

Valentine's was a day full of hearts.
Breakfast was heart toast,
lunch was heart strawberry/banana pancakes & eggs
& supper was...well mac n' cheese for the boys & babysitter
& Luke & I went on a date to my favorite restaurant
Pompeii Pizzeria in Elk River.
We drank champagne, ate appetizers, salad & our favorite wood fired pizza
all by ourselves.

Adler had his very first Valentine's party at preschool.
He was so excited to give his 'friends' valentine's cards.
He wrote his name on all of them & even taped some candy to the card.
All by himself!
(Gosh he's getting so old).

He also got cards from everyone else &
couldn't wait to get home to look through his loot!
(Olivia was excited too!)

G & G Johnson, Great grandma Elois, Aunt Camy & Ang came over on Sunday.
It was such a fun afternoon.
We opened valnetine's, had lunch & dessert(s) & played games.
And the boys mauled on grandma & grandpa.

(I told Luke to move his head in....HAHAHA he looks like a darn giraffe!)

The boys playing around with grandpa!
We also sold ALL of our furniture that afternoon,
so we had to bring up the misc. furniture we have downstairs
until our new couch arrives.

I gave the boys haircuts on valentine's
& after their cuts they took a 'special' shower downstairs.
And their conversation with one another went like this...
Adler: "I love you Brock."
Brock: "Yup!"
Adler: "Do you love me too?"
Brock: "Yup!"

Ahhh we love them.  They could just make me cry.
Happy Valentine's Day.

Brainerd.

We decided to take a mini winter vacation
& since there was a great 'crowd cut deal' on
The Lodge in Brainerd,
we nabbed up the deal & headed up north.
We stayed there in September for Luke's work
& the boys LOVED it, so we knew it would be a hit again
AND
I could go to Nisswa & check out the shops during the winter
months & have some Rachel's Bakery donuts!

Their rooms at the resort are SO nice for families,
especially if you ask for the rooms with the seperate family room.
We had so much space in our room....it was wonderful!
Living room, kitchenette area w/table, & seperate sleeping area.
Plus if you need a dark small area to set up a pack n' play
(which is something we always hope for when we go somewhere)
they have the perfect spot!  We'll be back with the baby forsure.

The boys in their valentine's jammies.
Ohh too cute!

G & G Johnson came along & brought cousin Gabe.
Here's grandpa making a stop at our room to watch a movie.

Enjoying the hot tub with dad.
The hot tub is big, with an inside area that connects w/an outside area too!
So neat to be able to swim outside in the winter.

Adler was a little too scared to go down the BIG waterslides in Sept.
but the first thing he said when we got to the waterpark
was that he wanted to go down the slides right away!
And he never stopped going down the slide
(neither did Gabe, so poor grandpa had to go down the slide 50+ times).
I walked up the steps once & thought I was going to have a heartattack
at the top.  Needless to say it was my one & only time down the slide!

Everyone enjoyed the lazy river too.
We LOVE the Paul Bunyan waterpark!

Gabe floating with grandma.

Brock was so wiped out that he clunked out for an afternoon!

Of course we had to go to the arcade too.
I think Luke played more games then the boys did! haha

We loved our vacation & can't wait to go back up north
this summer to the Lake Edward Resort.
Except we'll have a little tiny one with us this year!
