It's PT time...again!

Well Brock is now 2 years & 1 month,
so you know what that means at our house...
Potty training time!
I've been dreading it,
probably even more than Luke,
but we're sick of paying for diapers
when we know he's capable of using the BIG toilet!

So this past weekend we started.

Last picture of Brock wearing diapers.
So long nasty diaper changes!

First pair of undies.
He was thrilled to run around the house with no clothes on!
As you can see we put blankets down on every piece of carpet
& it will stay that way for awhile I think.

2nd pair of undies...

3rd pair...and so on.
I think we went through 20+ pairs of undies on day 1!
But thankfully day 2 was much better.

We were going crazy being at home all weekend
so we decided to do a little exercising!
Butt lifts, abs, I think we pretty much got it all in! haha

(ohh no, I see a piece of carpet unprotected and you know that would
be the one spot Brock would pee too!)

Dad trying to entertain us all with his 'horsey' talents!
At least he didn't get peed on.

The boys got a little sticker happy and put them
everywhere on their bodies.

We'll all be so happy when Brock is fully trained,
but until then, we'll be busy!

Babysitting.

Recently some friends of ours needed a little help
watching this sweet little one.
The boys were SO excited to have Ingrid come to our house.
They got out whatever 'baby toys' they could find
& got right down to business babysitting her.

Adler even had the grand idea to get out some
baby einstein dvd's.
It was so darn funny watching them entertain her.
And she loved every minute!

2 of the latest favorites.

The boys & I were shopping at CoBorn's
& I noticed something....
Sweet Martha's Ice Cream!!!!
AHHHHH
Who would have ever thought they make this stuff?
Right next to it was Nut Goodie ice cream (Luke's favorite candy bar).
So we decided we MUST get both,
along with waffle cones too!

p.s. the Martha's is already gone :(

So then I thought I should try to make some homemade bread.
I remember having homemade bread with strawberry jelly
with grandma Pearl & loved the smell & taste.

My first attempt was a success!
I think I overheated my Heavy Duty Kitchen Aid mixer.
It was smoking & it smelled,
but it was completely worth it.
Because it made 2 of these wonderful loaves...

And they're both gone already!
I think I'll be making bread more often.

Swim lessons.

I've been contemplating whether or not to
have Adler start swimming lessons.

Is he old enough?
He's so shy, will he like lessons?
Can't he just learn to swim on his own?
What will Brock do during that time?

You know, all the questions a mom would ask.
Well I just decided to sign him up
& I love it & he loves it!

He met with the swim instrutor (an older grandpa type fella)
& decided he was going to be excited
& learn how to swim for vacation!
(and I secretly need him to learn to swim so
my anxiety can be less when our family goes swimming)

His class consists of him & another little girl.
They love having SO much attention
& trying to compete with one another! haha

Playing ring-around-the-rosie & dipping their head in the water.

Happy Swimming!
