July 2020

The Triangle Drive-inn became a frequent stop for us this summer.  As part of their summer reading incentives, if they read good every week they would earn $5 per month & whatever they wanted from the drive-inn at the end of each month.

July has got to be the best month of the year.  It's hot & the lake is calling!

Floating & boating & fun...every day!

One crazy afternoon proved to be a bit too much fun!

Sleeping in with dad.
Enjoying fires at the neighbors.
Vivienne went on the pontoon with the Hanson's & had a great time with the girls.
Late night cribbage with my love.
Croquet with the cousins.
One of our many bike trips from Merrifield to Nisswa.
Next year we may just have all of us on bikes.  Viv may not need the tandem!
Along the trail we got to see how they harvest lake weeds at the lake access.
The Erickson's would stop by sometimes on their boat.  They we'd hop on theirs for the day & double tube & wake surf.
We are rarely at home, but on this particular day Vance & Viv decided to smash apart the lawnmower so we could fit it in our garbage.
Brock decided that he might just be tall enough to move up to his big bike.
This is the bike that he won at the Walk N Roll event in Monticello years ago.
Like father, like son!
We love having people over to float & have fun.  Several people came over from across the lake & we had a good time.
4th of July Lake Edward boat parade.
SO many boats & a lot of fun.
Ryan & Lisa's pontoon looked like it was about to sink, but we all had a blast!
Fighter jets flew directly over us when we were in the lake.
It was amazing!
Cousins.
Always playing with dad.
Reading time on the back patio with Belle.
Grandma Yvonne decided that she wanted to take the kids to Storybook Land in Aberdeen, SD.
So we loaded up the Denali & took off.  The place was SO neat.
Grandma booked a room at the Holiday Inn & we had a good time.
The kids are at the perfect age to see all the storybook tales & ride the rides.
We had to watch Wizard of Oz on the way up so Viv knew what it was & the boys got a refresher.

Grandma bought the kids an unlimited wristband for go-karts, mini golf, bumper boats, & trampoline park.  The kids ran for the fun & never stopped until the 2 hours was up!
We decided to pour concrete along the sides of the cabin & a patio facing the lake.
Grandpa Wayne came to help out with the concrete.
Grandpa also decided that he was going to try tubing!  And in his jeans no-less!
No gutters for the cabin, but this concrete walkway all around will be great for rain to fall on.
Vivienne & I took off from the lake to go to Kylie's bridal shower.
The Brown's came to visit & Vivienne loved having Quinn to play with.
Adler's friend Caleb moved out of town so they got together one more time before he left.
Dance party on the new patio!
Vivienne is doing so good riding her bike without training wheels & she loves riding around like the boys do!
