Fall fun.

Just some random pictures of the boys enjoying the last few days
of warmer weather.

Picnic on wheels!
Playing a little foosball in the garage with some friends.
This little boy drastically needed me to take a picture of
'his favorites'.
He got them all positioned & he said he would like himself in the picture too.
Included in the picture:
little stuffed pumpkin,
red froggy,
green flinger froggie (X2),
sparkles,
& let's not forget the star of the show....Adler!
It's just so funny, some of the things those little minds think up.
And here's a little sneak peek into their halloween costumes this year.
More on that next week of course!

Arts & crafts.

The boys have been staying busy doing many arts & crafts.
We stopped at Beck's (our local vegetable farm) to pick out some pumpkins.
Then the boys got to decorate them.

Adler was watching a HGTV show that was on tv & said he wanted to use his tools
& make something!
So when dad got home he was summoned to the wood pile to
find some wood to 'make something'.
Looks like they were in the mood to make boxes!

Every Thursday we make a trip to the library for craft time.
And every day that they go to kids stuff at the YMCA they've
decided they are going to participate in the craft area.
I don't know what's gotten into these boys,
but it's been all about arts & crafts lately!

A trailer!

We have been in need of a trailer since we moved to MN.
We've always asked others to borrow us their trailer,
but with another house addition in the near future
we thought enough was enough
& got a trailer.
Not just any trailer.
An Aluma all aluminum, light weight, totally awesome trailer.
I kept telling Luke for a few days...."Ohh I love our trailer!"
It's a great feeling knowing we don't have to bother others anymore.
And the same day he picked up the trailer
he loaded it up on his way home with insulation.
And later that day we insulated the garage.
Ahhh I love our trailer!
 The boys love it too.
They loaded up all of their outside toys on the trailer.
Then used bungee cords to tie them all up.
Then took all the toys off the trailer.
And then did it all over again!
hahaha

Tonight.

We didn't have any plans tonight.
So when Luke got home we decided to go out to eat.
After some Daddy O's Cafe we headed to the 101 Market!
We were the only ones there
(probably because the activities were supposed to be closed
because it was pitch black outside!)
& the boys got to jump on the big bubble & play in an enormous corn pit.
They were wild & it wore them out for the night.
Just what we needed.

4 months.

Our little guy has been rolling over for several weeks now.
I love watching him learn new things & his older brothers love it too.
But he doesn't stop rolling,
then he gets upset because he can't roll back over!
Pretty soon though I think.
We always find him sleeping on this tummy in the morning
when we go to wake him up too.
We're just grateful he doesn't care that he's on his tummy
sleeping, or we'd have a big problem.
He's such a sweet, sweet, boy
who loves his brothers.
He squeals & smiles when they talk to him.
I can't wait until he gets big enough to play with them.

Relaxin in his swing.
I going to be concerned when he doesn't fit in it anymore,
because he LOVES swinging!

Having fun in his jumperoo.
This little man can still fall asleep
just about anywhere!
In mom & dad's bed.

In his crib (of course his favorite).
While playing on his playmat.
...and in his highchair.
I wonder when this phase of falling asleep anywhere is no longer.
I will sure enjoy it while it lasts!

The boys always ask if they can hold Vance.
It's pretty cute, but then it becomes a competition of who gets to hold him.
Then that's not so cute!

Taking turns holding Vance.

Enjoying some Daddy O's.
Vance can't wait for his first scoop of ice cream!

I've heard the latest recommendation is to wait to feed solids
until babies turn 6 months.  Well for me that seems like too long to wait.
(And as our parents would probably say about things that have changed
since they had us as babies.)
Our 2 older boys were just fine starting at 3-4 months old
& Vance seems ready to start a little cereal.  So a couple weeks ago
we started....& he loves being able to eat something like the rest of the family at supper.
Now that the weather has been a little chilly.
We've been indoors more.
More movies & of course more puzzles!!! haha
If you have 50 piece puzzles laying around that you want to get rid of,
Vance & I would love to have them!

Superman.

Yesterday was a long, long day.
Luke worked late & Vance was a bit sick.
Ahhhhh
It helped to have a couple super heros in the house though.
They ran around ALL day
& jumped off of the furniture.
At least it entertained Vance for awhile!
They even have capes on the back of their pj's
& boy does that help them fly
(so I've been told!).

Party time.

We had the boys' family birthday party.
Celebrating Adler's 5th birthday & Brock's 3rd birthday.
And our house was packed!
It was tons of fun
& lots of good food to eat...Pizza Ranch!
I think we will order out every year.
We didn't have to cook anything & we just wrote a check
& the food was ready!
The boys couldn't wait for everyone to come for their birthday.
Ohhh birthdays are so much fun at this age.
The boys requested a John Deere cake this year.
Adler chose a lawnmower & Brock wanted a bucket loader.
So the cake ended up being a lawn on one side & dirt pile on the other.
Pizza, chips, pop, cake & ice cream.
Ohhh it was good!

Aunt Camy with Vance.
p.s. Vance now realizes when he's not with mom & dad
& does not like it.  Poor guy!

The boys opened up a few gifts & got so excited
that they didn't even finish!
I couldn't even get them to finish either.
So it was almost like having another party when they sat down later
to open the rest of their gifts!

The Herdina's
We were supposed to be posing with serious faces, but I let er rip
& that was the end of that idea.
Terrible? I know! haha

From mom & dad the boys got WAY too many gifts.
But when I find a deal I can't help myself.
This year they got a bounce house, 4 wheeler, john deere pedal tractor & wagon
just to name the big items.
I think I'll plan to skip Christmas!
Unless I find a good deal of course!
Thanks Ryan, Lisa & kids for these awesome plates.
The boys LOVE using them & even though it means they play with their food,
they at least eat the food, even if they don't like it!

Happy Birthday boys!

3!

Brock was highly anticipating his 3rd birthday.
On September 30, he turned 3
and as he would tell you (like he tells everyone!)
he gets to play in playscape!
Playscape is the 'fun' area in the kids gym at the YMCA.
He climbs & slides & plays in the rocket.
What a kid.
He tells me everyday...
"I'm 3 now & I get to play in playscape!"
The boys LOVE getting mail.
So for his birthday we put his cards in the mailbox.
Brock was so excited to find his very own cards to open!
Here he is telling Adler, "I gots cards!"
Reading the birthday boy his cards.

Adler helping Brock put his cards in his binder.
(the boys get out their binder several times a day
& show me all their crafts, cards, & whatever else they shove in the sleeves!)

We had cake for breakfast too!

Brock is such a sweetie.
He's always trying to make you smile.
He's so sincere, sharing his toys, snuggling with Olivia,
wanting to hold his little brother
& saying the darndest things.
We sure love this 3 year old!

Deer Lake Orchard.

Adler's preschool
takes a field trip to Deer Lake Orchard
every year.
And lucky for us, the whole family gets to come along.
The boys had a great time
running around,
playing with friends,
learning about picking, sorting, & cleaning apples
& getting a tractor ride through the orchard & woods.
Brock taking a ride on Wilbur (you know, the pig on Charolette's Web!)
Getting all full of hay with his buddies Tanner & Rafe.
Spending time in their old beautiful barn.

The lady in the red had hair past her arse.
The boys were in awe of how long it was.
I told them she was the Tangled lady!
After that they listened to everything she had to say
like she was a real princess! haha

Tractor ride!
