Brainerd International Raceway.

Where do I begin?!
So awhile back a new Kwik Trip held it's grand opening in Big Lake.
I went with the kids & registered for a couple doorprizes.
You always kind of think it's a gimmick to even sign your name
on those little sheets of paper, but I did it anyway.
And boy oh boy am I glad I did.
They called Luke & told him that he had won a BIR NHRA VIP package.
What????
I informed him that I signed his name on the doorprizes
& luckily we won.
We have never been to Brainerd International Speedway (BIR),
but this experience was free, so we thought, why not!
Luke brought the 3 boys & Shane brought Sawyer & they spent a day
at the races to check it out.
The next day Shane & Tracy came with us & we had a fantastic day!

As part of our VIP experience we got to get up close to the pit crews of the race cars.

It was pretty neat.

We got to personally meet one of the fastest racers & we all got autographed caps.

We were escorted to the race track & got to stand up close at the starting line.

A couple more racers we got to talk with.  

I got to talk with Antron Brown in front of the crowd for awhile.

It was pretty great!

(I found out later that he also has a son named Adler. I knew we had a connection! haha) 

Nitro cars are getting pulled to the race track.

Amazingly, us 4 got to stand on the starting line.

They called our personal experience "Baptism by Nitro".

And let me tell you, when the nitro cars come out to play, 

there is nothing like it. 

It's loud, it smells like nitro gas, & it rattles your entire body.

REALLY!

So cool...
