Eddie.

On Nov. 3rd we received a group text from Lisa letting us know that Eddie
was at the ER in Olivia because he felt dizzy, short of breath & had stomach pains.
At the ER he was quickly assessed & shortly after he was air lifted to St. Cloud hospital.
Luke rushed to the hospital so he could be there when he landed
& thank goodness he was, because he got a quick chance to talk to his dad
before they had to put him on life support.
Eddie's lungs were filling up with fluid fast & he needed to be put on a ventilator
so he could rest a bit so they could figure out what was going on.
It was a VERY difficult stay in the ICU.
Hard for Eddie (but his body kept fighting all obstacles)
& hard for us to go through too.
We all road the emotional rollercoaster with highs & lows
& we're so thankful to God for letting Eddie survive it all.

While he was hospitalized it was also Eddie's birthday.
I brought a couple cakes & we celebrated.
We Eddie's ventilator was finally removed, he got the chance to talk to Luke.
It was a very touching moment.
We were all excited to even hear grandpa talk.
It has been too long.
Most days the Herdina family & friends overtook the waiting room.
Eddie had so many visitors everyday.
And the times when all the grandkids showed up,
was really a circus
(or daycare that has gone out of control!).
Visiting grandma & grandpa.
This is a picture of when they started to take the sedation meds off
to get ready for removing the ventilator.
We were there that morning & Vivienne loved to see grandpa's eyes finally open!
It was an amazing time.
Luke talking to his dad on the phone!
Eddie getting out of his bed & into a chair for a bit.
So many visitors!
God bless you dad, grandpa...Eddie!
We love you.
