Duluth

Cooler weather was upon us & that meant it was time to
make a trip up north to Duluth.
We stayed right on Canal Park & played outside every morning
while dad was at his conference.
Standing under the lift bridge.
The boys love seeing the cars driving above them
& having the bridge come down.
This year the kids decided to collect all the driftwood & make a fort.
While the boys kept building on their fort Viv & I sat on the bench
& enjoyed the scenery.
The fort was starting to take shape.
We decided to forgo the waterpark during this trip.
I'm so glad we did because we had the pool to ourselves for most of the time!
3 in a row is how we sleep at hotels!
Wonder how much longer this will last.
Mom decided to pitch in on day 2 of fort making.
I showed them the ol weave technique.
They were impressed & many onlookers had to stop & take a peek too!
Going on a lake shore morning walk before the cold & wind pick up for the day.
But the mornings, ahhh they were glorious.
(for some reason, this weekend was extremely windy in the afternoon & evening)
We always waste a little time at the arcade!
Someone's happy that dad is done with his conference for the day!
Relaxing in the hot tub.
We truly 'owned' this whole pool area!
It was amazing for the kids.
They could be as loud as they wanted & I could let them,
because no one was there.
And every time we drive home from a fun weekend,
exhaustion kicks in!
Thanks for another great little get away Duluth!
