Summer fun.

Summer has quickly slipped away from us. 

We (mostly Luke!) have been working on the house ALL summer,

but we did get a few days away to have a little fun.

Every Thursday I went to the lake in town for some swimming, music & food.

We would either run around the lake or go swimming

& then Luke would meet us after work to grab a bite to eat & listen to the bands

playing in the park.  

It was very enjoyable.

The weather we beautiful & it was a few hours every week

that we got to enjoy the summer nights.

All the other nights we were slaving away at getting the exterior of our house complete!

 We would order some of the best hotdogs & brats on the beach from Tony.

The boys were exhausted, which meant they went to bed right away 

& we could get right back to working while they slept.

The boys & I have been reading a lot of library books.

We joined a program called "1000 Books Before Kindergarten"

& since Adler started kindergarten this year he got to graduate from the program.

He had a fun time at his graduation party & he even made the local paper

(which for him was the most exciting part!) 

 We took part of a Saturday off from work (on the house of course!)

& went to a friends pool party.  It was tons of fun!

We all swam in the cool pool, had a few beverages,

& then drove home in the late evening to continue working on the house.
