A couple days after we left the hospital it was Monticello's
annual 'Walk n' Roll' event.
It's the day when our kids get a new bike helmet for $3.00!
Yes, $3.00.
I still can't believe it.
I love it.
It's a deal I can't pass up.
So swollen ankles & all,
I headed for the Mississippi with all my boys.
It was raining, but that didn't stop us.
The morning started by getting fitted for a new helmet
& then we set off for a walk/bike ride along the river road
to the bridge & park.
Along the entire walk many businesses in town have a booth
with candy, games, & giveaways.
So you stop at each one & have a grand 'ol time.
It was wonderful
& Vance enjoyed himself too!
Here's the boys in their rain coats.
Brock had to stop riding his bike because he had to eat his box of popcorn!
Done with the walk & ready to cross under the bridge to the park.
Vance enjoying his first official outing at 5 days old!
Dad brought the boys on the train ride at the park.
This dang train is everywhere in Monticello
& the boys always have to ride it!
Does it get any better?
Box of popcorn, balloons, bags full of goodies & a day riding bike
& playing at the park.
Whew....what a morning!
