Mr. & Mrs. Aleckson
(or should I say Akerson! Thank you father for a good laugh.)
These two good friends got married this weekend
& I had the honor of being a bridesmaid
in their wedding (at 38 weeks pregnant!).
It was a 'Grand Old Day'
with lots of laughs at the groom's supper & wedding.
The bride was gorgeous & the day was beautiful
(especially because we got to spend it
on Nicollet Island on the Missisippi).
Rehearsal at St. Boniface in downtown Minneapolis.
Rehearsal Dinner at Nye's Polonaise.
The place was so unique to say the least.
It was as if you stepped back into the 1970's
with all it's original decor, from the lighting to the music
& it was a great time!
The one & only dance for me that night.
Baby did not prefer dancing at this point!
(Baby... you can come anytime now.
You made it through the wedding & if you don't come soon
we'll take you out in a week!)
