June 2020

It's summer & it's time to party.

Time to see family & friends & spend invaluable time with our kids.

Vance had his 8th birthday up north.

Vivienne & Dezi

Kayaking with the kids.

How many people can we cram on the dock!

Every year at the lake we have weeks of different bugs.  From dragon fly weekend to may fly weekend...we have it all!  Lisa had a dragon fly on her head & screamed bloody murder!

Our dream home.

Having fun at the Hanson's lake home down the road.  Pat wasn't there & Shannon was working, but we invaded anyway!  Luke & I kayaked over with the kids & we decided to hang out there since they have a sandy beach!  Shannon even brought us chairs & drinks! haha

Vance wanted to decorate him own cake & of course Viv had to watch.

Vance's birthday party at the lake.

Vance got a BB gun!
The infamous couch that Sadie brought home one day from a demo site for her parents to use!  Tracy hated it, but the guys thought it was great! haha
When the wakes are SO big on the lake the kids grab their kayaks & have a fun time!
It was like our very own wave pool!
Shooting practice in the backyard.
Enjoying lunch at Rafferty's.  We bike the trail from Merrifield to Nisswa & take a little shopping trip around when we're there.
We bike the Paul Bunyan Trail as often as we can.  Our favorite spot on the trail is where Big Foot is.
Vance's birthday meal was at Wendy's!  We ordered 50 nuggets & he loved it.
Mother Yvonne lost her mind & decided to take 'Velma' her electric bike down the dock!
Mom & dad decided to hit the trail with us.
We decided early on that dad needs a new bike, but it was fun for all of us!
Ronnie & Donna Anderson bought Paul & Janet's little cabin by Crosslake.  It is located right on the river, so we can float down & end at their place.  It was really shallow when we went down, but all the kids & adults had a good time!
We set sail at the bridge & we float down about 1-2 hours to reach the Anderson's.
Mother Yvonne enjoyed herself, but because the river was so shallow, she was slow going!
At some point, Luke traded rides with mother.  So I had the honor of tugging him down the river!
June 21, 2020- Luke turned 40!
We didn't have a big party like I hoped because of covid,
but we did have some friends & family come to celebrate him!
We were all excited to give dad his gifts & cards.
Luke also decided that he was going to water ski at 40!
Viv & Belle playing in the calm water.
We took dad out to his favorite place to eat.  Ernie's on Gull Lake.
Always looking for frogs!
Nicholas' birthday up north.
Great Grandma Elois sent Vance a birthday gift.  He loved the coins, shells, & notes.
The kids wanted to take the day & explore Crosslake & check out the dam.
The kids like to swim in the middle of the lake, so we went tubing for a bit & then swam with the lilypad.
When we returned to the dock it was so nice & warm outside that Luke & I decided to stay out & relax on the boat.
