Sherburne County Fair.

I'll start by saying I have always loved county fairs.
As a 4-Her I spent my summer getting ready for the fair.
Making projects, completing 4-H records,
training my dog, horse
& whatever else it all takes to be a good country kid!

But I think this will be my last appearance at the fair
(unless I make a trip to the Plymouth County Fair in Le Mars, IA
where they really know how to draw a crowd!).

There was nothing exciting, low commercial building attendance
& just a lot of money spent on carnival rides.
Uggghhhhh.
We can get our carnival fix at Spud fest
& forget the fair.
Same goes for Meeker County Fair too.
Not much there anymore.
Maybe I'm just bigger & things seem smaller,
but enough is enough....
onto the Minnesota State Fair!
(now that is a good time).
Taking a break from the heat & eating some mini donuts.
After consuming mini donuts
Luke took the boys on the 'berry go round'.
You can only imagine how that went.
It was like a sight from Sandlot after they chewed some snuff.
That was Luke's first & last ride!
The mini donuts did not sit well. haha
He thought he was going to fly right out of the ufo!
Then the boys went on a few rides together.
It was so funny to see little Brockie try to be 'big'
like his brother.
Then the dinsoaur rollercoaster ride was next!
It was not a good deal.
Brock was so darn scared,
he alsmost cried,
but he stuck it through
to try to show Adler he could be just like him.
(don't let that smile fool you.  he was terrified!)
We finished the night with a ride on the carousel.
He was still a little unsure about any ride after the dragon,
but I told him how it was just like Mary Poppins
when they rode the horses
& then he loved it
& then I sang supercalafragileistic.......lalala song
& he loved it even more!
