We're having a problem...
We're now squeezing Brock into pull-ups
& he's now wearing his spendy night-time diapers
as regular 'during the day' diapers!
Why (you might ask)?
because he's just too big and growing too fast!
Adler never went past a size 3 diaper before he was potty trained.
Brock is now in a size 4
& wearing size 5 night-time diapers
to keep him from getting pee all over himself by morning.
Then I realized I have 2 packages of pull-ups
that I was storing away from Adler's diaper days.
But noticed they are a size 3!
I don't care....he's wearing them.
After you store them forever & take up
the little storage space you have in the house
I was not just going to throw them.
Darnit....he's wearing them.
As I just recalled I think they also are the cold sensing ones.
You know, the ones where they let the little one know
when they have gone potty.
So feeling bad about that part, I'm changing him a lot more.
AHHHHHH
Well onto Valentine's Day!
The boys got some special Valentine's gifts
And LOTS of hugs, kisses, & I love you's
ALL day!
(really that happens everyday, all day,
but I told them Valentine's was a extra special hug, kiss day!)
Adler got some socks, candy, pencils, books, whistle
& lots of homemade treats to eat throughout the day!
(ohhh yeah....and I forgot to mention the Lady & the Tramp VHS
I got last summer sometime! I knew it would come in handy)
Adler let's us know that it was VHS too!
He'll probably be the ONLY kid in school to have VHS'.
I love it.
Brock also got a whistle.
(p.s. he's blowing through the wrong end!)
Then he found the M&M's!
It was a mess after that.
When I woke up Adler handed me a gift card for a massage.
I've only ever had a massage when I've been gifted one
so it will be SO nice to relax a little bit.
I love them & I should really just go get them when I want,
but I'm too cheap & we have debt to pay off....
so instead I cherish them about once a year!
Then when we came home from supper
Luke gave me this beautiful rose & card
(the card that I caught him writing all the 'sweet nothings'
2 minutes before he gave it to me & sitting in the bathroom- nice honey!).
Anyway...the story behind the cards...
My card I gave Luke:
I picked out a card that said exactly what Valentine's meant to me this year.
The problem: it cost $6.99.
I didn't want to say it was a rip off
because I loved what it said, but YES it was a rip off.
Who's going to pay that much for a card?
So I bought it.
I kept thinking about how much I spent and the many others things
I could have bought with that money
(remember we're trying to pay off our debt fast!)
So I cut out pages in a magazine, took some thick paper we had
laying around & made the darn card myself... for FREE!
(and I copied the exact saying in my card!)
Then I returned the ridiculously expensive card.
I felt much better
& I have to say, the card was much more sweet too!
What did it say?...
'What do I love even more than being married to you?
Being married to you & raising our beautiful family together.'
The card Luke gave me:
We were walking past the card section at Walmart.
I told Luke he best just get me a card right now
because he'd scrabble to get one later.
He said, "that sounds good!" (of course it does!)
Then he asked me later as we were walking around the store...
"Do you want the funny one or the nice one?"
Ohhh lordy.
Looking back now, I should have said the nice one,
but like the 'nice' wife that I am
I told him he should pick.
Which one did I get?
Yeah....the sick dirty one about hot sex & other random gibberish.
I should have known!
Our family spent Valentine's evening at our favorite pizzeria.
We enjoyed wood fired pizza (my absolute favorite) & champagne.
It was a wonderful day.
Their latest fetish
is to wear their sunglasses.
Then Adler says he can't see
(because it's too dark!)
so he wears them on his head.
Brock tries to do the exact same thing,
except like most things....he glasses squeeze his head too much.
Now on to finding him some BIGGER sunglasses!

Can't believe how big the boys are getting! Looking forward to seeing them (& you guys!) in a few weeks.
ReplyDeleteJohn & I seriously laughed out loud numerous times during this post...of course Goose would get you that kind of card. :)
Great posts... I was laughing so hard. Sounds just like something Bryce would do too! And writing it in the bathroom is hilarious. Also something Bryce would do! Haha!
