August is our summer month to take it a bit easy before school starts. Luke & I try to workout in the morning before the kids get up & sometimes that means getting on the kayaks & enjoying the up close encounters with loons.
Meeker County Fair to check out what Gabe's been up to in 4-H.
We always have to do a little bingo at the fair too.
Brock wanted to go golfing with us, so we hit a fun little 9 hole course in Jenkins.
Helping Belle cool off at home!
Vivienne & Gracie always have a great time playing in the summer. Neighbors & friends!
Every time we drive up north we pass Fort Ripley and on this drive we got pretty close to a big plane!
We went to the Forest City Thresher's & Stockade to see Grandpa & Grandma Johnson & also Uncle Joe & Aunt Erin.
Vance got to drive in the tractor parade with Grandpa Wayne.
We took a walk under the Hwy 25 Mississippi bridge because the river level was so low this year. It was pretty neat!
We bought a newer GMC Savanna conversion van & sold Black Beauty.
After we sold Black Beauty we decided it was time to buy a jetski!
For labor day weekend we met up with the Patten's and took a little boat ride on Gull Lake.
By the end of summer Lake Edward water level was really compared to what we are used to. We enjoyed a sandy beach, but you had to walk out really far to get up to your waist.
Belle loves the lake life and she always clunks out on the way home.
Bike ride with the Geers and a little pit stop by the lake.
Family jet ski ride!
