This year Luke worked just a little on the outside of our home.
With Viv being little & wanting to spend as much time with our kids as possible,
we decided to keep home updates to a minimum.
Luke found a great deal on some pavers on craigslist (of course!).
They were exactly what we wanted & they were selling the exact amount of pavers
that we needed. It was apparently meant to be!
So with the help of dad & some bobcat work
to dig out the old landscaping, it was time to make a new front patio area.
The patio area will look great once we finally get a couple adirondack
chairs & flowers!
While the bobcat was here we also had dad bring up our old shed
& set it in a place where the kids can use it as a play house
& we can use it for storage during the winter.
We had leftover siding from remodeling our house,
so this reno cost little to nothing!
Within a couple days our shed went from drab to fab!
And we reused some plants from the front yard landscaping that we dug up.
Another project that was very much needed was to transform our garage wall.
Now that our garage is insulated & heated it was time to make a designated place
for all of our coats, gloves, hats, snowpants, umbrellas, shoes, etc!
Our wall before...
In the process...
& the end product.
We quickly realized that it would be even better if Luke could make a bench.
We put the kids to bed & sat in our lawn chairs one night starring at the wall.
Luke drew up a bench plan & went to work on solving our storage escapades!
Our end result after the bench!
Now we each have a cubby below our coat & backpack hooks
for shoes & a drawer for gloves, hats, etc.
It has changed our lives! haha
