Last weekend we decided last minute to go to
Apple Jack Orchard in Delano.
And surprisingly, my best friends & their families decided
to go that same day!
So we all met up & had a bunch of fun together.
Dad with his boys by the crow river.
All of our kids playing on the tractor.
We took a tractor wagon ride around the orchard.
I love how no one but Luke is looking?!
After the ride it was time to jump on the big bubble & pick some honey crisp.
Did you know that the accurate way to pick an apple
(so other apples don't fall off the tree & you don't brake branches)
is to twist the apple twice & push the apple up.
Sounded strange, but that's just how we picked ours
& it worked great!
The next day G & G Herdina spent the night & played with the boys.
And my favorite father-in-law brought me 50+ cans of canned tomatoes!
I just about died...I love canned tomatoes.
Ohh love you Eddie!
Adler drew a picture of his teddy bear.
I thought he did a great job!
Some neighbors came over for supper & a bonfire.
The boys have not seen each other much this summer
& my boys just LOVED having them over!
And it gave us a chance to use our new bonfire pit.
Time for some smores.
This little boys is sure growing up.
He feels he is ready to use the booster seat instead of the highchair.
We'll see what happens buddy.
Having fun on the 4-wheeler.
On Sunday (an absolutely beautiful day) Luke & I had a date with Paddleford.
We took a paddleboat down the Mississippi.
Grandpa Wayne, Aunt Erin & cousin Gabe came to spend the afternoon
with the boys & we got to actually do something without kids.
It was amazing.
The cool, but warm weather,
drinks, popcorn, & just the two of us.
On the way home we ate at Pompeii Pizzeria.
It was a great day & we're thankful for our babysitters!
Neat house boats docked at the marinas on the river.
The river was very busy...lots of fun to watch.
Our view!
The paddleboat.
Happy Fall!
