More projects.

I forgot to bring our camera during a little outing to
Belseth's house for Memorial Day,
but there were lots of kids & lots of
great food.
Adler played so much that he said he was hot
& that he needed to take his clothes off.
So he rode home in his undies, sandals, & sunglasses!
What a kid.
(but we did get a picture when we got home.)

Our nicely redone front yard landscaping.
SO much better than what we have been looking at
for the last couple years!

And to top it off.....I found the tree of my dreams!
My sister thinks I'm nuts.
She obviously does not have an eye for uniqueness,
because I LOVE it!
A weeping norway spruce....it will stay miniture,
grow to the ground & start to fill out.
I can't wait to see its beauty in a few more years! haha

And my garden is doing great!
Luke put fencing around the square foot gardens
so the bunnies & deer will not destroy our crop,
but our big garden has NO protection...we'll see what happens I guess.

Here's a little preview of what we plan to do with the remaining
retaining block!
I can't wait.
It's going to be great.

Luke's been doing A LOT of work outside.
The retaining walls are complete & look so nice.
Next step is to have truck loads of dirt spread out on our backyard to smooth
out the lawn and start growing some new grass.
Good luck to us.
We'll need it.

Here's Luke completing his latest project.
Removing the old dingy gutters
& putting up new ones.

Then it was also time to remove the old antenna on our roof.
Luke said he would not remove it
(because it might cause leaking in the roof?)
but I convinced him that he could at least remove the BIG part
and leave the tripod thing that's attached to the roof!
He agreed.
Thankfully.

We recited a little ET phone home during this shot!

When all this was happening
the boys were bugging Peanut (our neighbors dog).

Then Peanut had enough & ran away.
But then Brock ran after him!

Then today this happened...
the sweetest thing ever.

Adler has told me a couple times that he would like a 'baby'
(apparently his boy cabbage patch babys don't cut it).
So I found this cute little 'baby' and a boy-ish colored stroller
for only $2.00, so I had to get it.
Brock & Adler have been pushing the baby around the house,
bringing out toys for the baby to play with
and this afternoon I found the baby like this!
Taking a nap on the floor
with one of Adler's favorite blankies!
He sure must love that baby.
And like he has told me before...
for the baby to sleep (close its eyes) it has to be
laying down (you know, the kind of baby doll that closes
and opens its eyes).
Luke just laughed when he saw it.
He'll laugh again when he sees Adler play with the baby tonight too!
Dad must be proud! haha
